Certified Moving Consultant

This self-study program covers the key aspects  of the moving and storage industry sales consultancy process (industry history, claims, selling techniques, ethics, etc.). In the past 35 years, over 2000 sales professionals have become  Certified Moving Consultants; all receive certificates, credentials, and listing on AMSA’s consumer website www.moving.org.  A $100 application fee provides applicants  with one copy of the CMC manual and permits two attempts to pass the test. After you pass the test, a $125 yearly maintenance fee will keep your  credentials current.

Certified Office and Industrial Consultant

This self-study program covers key aspects of  the office and industrial sales process (costing, estimating, managing,  etc.).  Your $100 application fee  purchases one COIC manual and access to two attempts to pass the test.  After you pass the test, a $75 yearly  maintenance fee will keep your credentials current, and ensure your COIC  listing on AMSA’s consumer website is active.

Certified Packer/Loader

This program has received rave reviews from purchasers who noted that it helped them reduce claims, reduce trip and fall rates, and more!  CPL is a fully interactive CD-ROM training course that includes an introduction to moving and storage, customer relations, and claims prevention through packing, loading, unloading, safety and reporting procedures.  AMSA members can purchase this CD-ROM once for $400, and train as many as necessary!

For an additional $50 per person, packers/loaders can take AMSA’s packer/loader test and be certified, which allows them to wear CPL merchandise (patches, etc.), demonstrating their credentials to customers.
